Our day so far
We're over at Noni and Popi's for the day. So guess what we're doing? You'll never guess. Shopping and eating at McDonalds. That's right. Hard to believe, isn't it? My shopping list included bigger onesies, a mirror so I could see Emma in the back seat (now that she's turned around), socks for Emma, Valentines, assorted groceries and drugs, and a birthday gift for M. And then there are all of those assorted new kid's clothes that seem to follow me home every time we go shopping. At least this time I didn't buy myself any shoes ;) The shopping trip was mostly a success. There will be a birthday and Valentines now.

So here's Emma playing with her new Little People Hamburglar.

Uncle B and Aunt K's little booster
We're headed out to the parking lot and then home for some playtime with Noni and Popi and then supper. Popi loaned her the hat when we couldn't find hers in the house. It was raining.

Daddies love books too!
Daddy picked up Emma and we all met up at the library for the exchange before Emma and I left town for Noni and Popi's. He wanted to get a little Q-time in before we left.

This is Noni's brand of fun!
Emma doesn't seem to be entirely sure about it. But she's having fun anyway!

Emma is Expecting...
that the next time Noni tries to stuff something up her shirt she'll be ready for her.

Showtime before Bedtime
Noni is showing Emma a video of her cousins in Germany singing to Noni and Popi. She would cackle in random places during the show.

Paybacks are hell, Daddy
I suppose you thought the rattle in the pants was funny...

Nakey Baby Time
A highlight of everyones day is nakey baby time. When Daddy goes to start the bath Mommy undresses Emma in the living room. Once that child is naked she is pure joy. She streaks to the bathroom, always at a run. She'll stand there by Daddy and do a jig just waiting to get in the water. As for Mommy and Daddy, it tickles us no end to see those little round nakey buns and buddha belly going by. I highly recommend nakey baby time to any parent.
How to give Mommy a heart attack and impress her at the same time
We were sitting in the kitchen and I was on the laptop at the table. It was wild destruction time so she was behind me tearing stuff up. Or so I thought. I turn around in my chair to find myself eye to eye with her. She had climbed up into her high chair. I about fell over. How in the hell did she do that? I didn't have to wonder for long because she did it many more times. I had difficulty catching her on film though. Here's my best attempt:

Removed. If you want to see it email me above and I'll send you the link. ;)
Total destruction (OK, almost total)
On a lark I decided to let her run wild this morning. Or maybe it was laziness. Anyway, watch and weep at the aftermath.

Today was a two outfit day
For Emma and mommy. While sitting on my lap she decided to pick up my cup of tea and take a swig herself. We both got a good drenching. Sigh.
Buttered Toast
It seems she likes to rub buttered toast in her hair. Does this mean she's ready for styling products?
Good news, bad news
Good news: She's saying "Mama" now.
Bad news: I'm pretty sure it's an expletive. She only says it when she's mad or frustrated.
Daddy, up to his tricks
Nothing like a little rattle in the pants for cheap thrills. Simple minds, simple pleasures.

Noni will love this one

Updated to add close-up:

Emma is changing
She is starting to throw tantrums on a regular basis. She's throwing things. She's pulling hair again. She's picking fights with me. I guess I knew my turn was coming, but it makes life a constantly shifting drama. Fun!
The Crayon Box
Here's her Elmo crayon box loaded up with her crayons. Daddy even got some of the big anti-roll crayons for her collection. Of course all she does is dump them out and step on them. But it will come...

This is one happy camper, let me tell you
She can reach the cat.

On Demand...a picture
Apparently the previous posts for the day weren't sufficient. ;)

Daddy Art
Yes, we're still trying to get Emma interested in the proper use of crayons.

Another First
Today is the first time she has taken a whole roll of toilet paper and tossed it in the toilet. Joy.
Thank you Angie!
For fixing the code to rearrange this page so that the posts are centered. And for making the font bigger. I want to make sure you get the credit you deserve. I love it!

Offering to the heat gods
This is a grate in the floor of my bedroom. It's an open grate that is located directly above the woodstove. The heat comes straight up through. Lately Emma has been raiding my nightstand each morning when I get dressed. I wasn't sure what she was up to because she'd go to the other side of the bed where I couldn't see her. The other morning I walked around the bed and saw that she was taking the items from my night stand and laying them on the warm grate. Funny little monkey.

I almost forgot...
We had some of the canned pot roast last night. It was delicious! Tastier than the first batch. This time he precooked the meat a little before he loaded the jars. The meat really absorbed the flavors wonderfully. The only drawback was there didn't seem to be as much meat this time. Actually that's probably for the best. Since I'm on Weight Watchers I shouldn't be overdoing the meat anyway.
The new iPod ROCKS!
I'm loving it! Not only does it hold my entire music collection, now they're offering worthy TV show episodes for it. At first it was only stuff I didn't watch like Lost, The Office, or Desperate Housewives. Now they've gotten episodes of shows from Comedy Central and Nickelodeon! Woo hoo! I've already downloaded one episode of SpongeBob Squarepants and one of South Park. So I have one Emma can watch and one for the grown-ups.

Now if I could just get them interested in offering more 80's music videos...
Queen of the Crayons
Here she is playing her crayon game. She is happy as a clam. And Leslie, it turns out that the little Elmo lunchbox Santa got Emma for Christmas is actually a crayon box. Or so says M. Works for me.

OK, all done for now!
So what do you think? Please be honest, I can take it. I only spent half my Sunday doing this. ;) My main complaint with it is that I don't particularly like it left justified, but that's the way it came and I don't know if that can be changed.
Pardon the mess here
I'm working on changing the template. It will be a bit messy today. I'll let you know when I'm done.
