Vogue
Emma put on all her jewelry and then wanted to show it off for me. Once the camera got rolling she was vogue-ing like crazy. Unfortunately I had a hard time getting her to look at the camera while doing it because she couldn't tear herself away from Backyardigans on the TV. I finally had to pause the show. Some models can be so difficult.

Do you eat pon hoss?
Do you eat pon hoss?
No thanks, buddy
Yes, it's a breakfast treat
Never heard of it
I eat scrapple. Does that count?

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about you can read more about it here. I like it much better when it's thinly sliced, a quarter inch or less. But it's really hard to cook without making a mess of it. We leave our pon hoss cooking to Noni. She's the expert. M knows he's died and gone to heaven when he gets a Noni breakfast with bacon, pon hoss and sausage. She spoils us sometimes.
Noni's 49th Birthday
I wished her a Happy 49th on her birthday card and she didn't even blink. I'm not sure if she didn't notice or if she thinks I'm senile. Our ages are 20 years and one month apart so she always remembers her age by knowing how old I am. So, if I tell her she's 49 she probably believes it ;)

She told us not to make her a cake because we'd have two other cakes this weekend and that was enough. We agreed. And then Uncle B went out and bought her a Key Lime Pie. You can see how busted up she was over it.

She made out like a bandit on presents. She got an iPod Nano and a digital photo frame. We've inducted her into the cult of iPod. She happily went along.

J-girl's 6th Birthday
It isn't actually until next Monday, but we wanted to celebrate it while we knew we could have everyone together. The last weekend of the month Emma is invited to Maryland for the official gymnastics party for J. I think she'll really enjoy that.

This one got a chocolate/chocolate cake with colored sprinkles. Aunt Alex made it for her.

She was thrilled when her Daddy cut her a big, big piece of her own.

C-man's 11th Birthday
He ordered up fajitas for dinner.

And a Pop's cake.

Everyone assembles for the opening of the presents.

"Ripley's Believe It Or Not," a great gift for 11 year-old boys.

Noni and Popi's gift. Can you guess? Huh? Huh? Can you? Here's your hint..."You'll shoot your eye out!"

Hopped up on sugar...
The grandkids launch an ill-conceived attack on Noni.

Reinforcements to the rescue.

A frontal assault takes Noni down.

Somehow I suspect she has them just where she wants them.
