"Let's play numbers!"
This is a game she chooses. Which is awesome because it's a great way to work on her numbers. And yes, she still doesn't mix the playdoh colors.

Sticker mania has arrived
For the longest time she had no interest in them whatsoever. Now I guess she finally found something she likes to do with them. Unfortunately for us when she rips them off she pulls against the direction of your hair. Ouch!

Nature is cruel and sucky
I've only watched two full episodes of Meerkat Manor but it's a stark reminder of the cruelty of nature. The show introduces the two pups Lenny and Squiggy, adorable baby meerkats. By the end of the episode they are both dead. Lenny and Squiggy are abandoned above-ground by all the other meerkats when they spot a predatory bird. The adults head underground and the bird takes his pick. Being a smart bird he choses the bigger stronger Lenny. Squiggy, the smaller meerkat with a deformed leg, is left behind. His handicap makes it difficult for him to keep up and he just doesn't learn to take care of himself fast enough. Eventually, when food becomes scarce, they just abandon him in the desert. C'est la vie. Like I said, sucky.

Luxury camp-out
This is my idea of camping, a Crowne Plaza hotel room, all to myself. Every once in a while I'm forced to travel for business. As much as I hate to leave home, the allure of a quiet evening to myself and room service is quite tantalizing. Each time, somehow, I manage to overcome my reluctance to step outside of my comfort zone...and into comfort. Poor me, I know.

Daddy's helper
This morning they went to our friend's house to take care of the animals while our friends are away for the weekend. They have a new kitten so M thought Emma needed to come along. They were gone for a good while. She jumped on the trampoline, played with the kitten, and banged out a few tunes on their piano (she's plays piano at Grandma's house, too).
