Emma and her riding partner deciding what to do next.
Jack taking it all in.
Standing in line for the slide.
Happy.
Riding the dinosaurs.
Taking a brief nap after his bottle.
Riding the dragon coaster. The awesome thing about a small fair is that Emma gets to ride nearly constantly. There is rarely a line and when there is one she might have to wait one ride cycle. Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled.
Watching the fireworks. Jack actually watched them too.
Jack absorbed everything around him, the people, the lights, and the sounds. He was enthralled.
Emma doing the ring toss. M told me that the night before they'd been doing that and Emma had accidentally beaned the game lady in the forehead with her ring. He swore that it was worth his two dollars just to see that.
It's getting chilly, time to put on the hat.
Noni cooing to her littlest man.
After a bottle and a short nap he's up and ready to go again!
Wednesday night was the annual Fair Parade which kicks off the four days of the county fair each year. This year we were blessed with clear skies. It was a beautiful evening.
Emma collected another gallon bag of candy from the parade. The funny thing is that we still had half a gallon left from last year, plus half a gallon of Halloween candy. We rely on serious rationing around here ;)
Jack's ready for his first fair parade!
Enjoying the fruits of her labors. Or fruit flavored Nerds to be exact.
Many of the picnic guests lined up in front of Grandma's house, which is near the end of the parade route.
...is my life now. I was resigned to being childless after over seven years of trying. I pictured travel to Vegas and exotic locales; and buttering up my nieces and nephew so I wouldn't die alone and forgotten. Now, Surprise! I'm a mother!
