My new kitchen trash can
Yes, it's a clothes hamper. Most kitchen trash cans don't suit me because they're not big enough, or they have huge swinging lids that knock your trash around, or they're step-ons. All the stainless steel ones are too small. I know, I should hang my head in shame after reading about b's $200 trash can.

When I purchased this I was having that inner dialog trying to justify the purchase. My old one had a broken lid, ground in grime and was...lets see...I bought it when I moved into my apartment in Williamsburg in 1989...it was 18 years old. Oh. My. God. I'm old enough to have an 18 year-old trash can.

After demoralizing myself with that epiphany I decided the $12-and-change extravagance was justified.
