Before we ate our Thanksgiving feast the preschoolers lined up and did a little performance for us. First they did a fingerplay, then they sang grace for us. I took video of both. Emma did not say one word during the fingerplay, but she sang her little heart out for the grace. When I got back to my office I played back what I had. I was crushed to find out that the video had cut off at exactly one minute, meaning I lost the grace in it's entirely. My point and shoot camera is getting very old and unreliable. It was very disappointing.
To make up for it I asked Emma to sing the grace for Popi when he came over this afternoon. Here is her performance, all of 13 seconds.
...is my life now. I was resigned to being childless after over seven years of trying. I pictured travel to Vegas and exotic locales; and buttering up my nieces and nephew so I wouldn't die alone and forgotten. Now, Surprise! I'm a mother!
