Emma's sick
This isn't new news. She's been sick since last Saturday. She's had a head cold, runny nose and raspy voice. We'd been treating her with Dimetapp but after a week I let it lapse. Today she's worse than ever. Now she has a fever and a croupy sounding cough. M and I have both had the cold. For both of us it lasted about three days. I'm not sure why hers lingers.
Now I have her back on Dimetapp with some Motrin thrown in for the fever. Bless her heart, she doesn't complain or whine about being sick. She acts as close to normal as she can. It just hurts my feelings to see her suffer with it. Two things we desperately need, Emma to get well and some rain. Say a little prayer for us.

A Deviated Path
...is my life now. I was resigned to being childless after over seven years of trying.
